Varsity

Varsity is the biggest event in the student sporting calendar and the panicle of the competitive season. Every year in April sees a cross boarder matchup against the University of Chester (Warrington), alternating between the Universities venues. Varsity represents sportsmanship, fair play and of course a bit of healthy rivalry from both universities. Now approaching Varsity III Wrexham Glyndwr look to maintain their dominance over the rival university by making it 3 out of 3 wins since Varsity first began in 2014.

Travis Davies, Vice President at WGSU, said: 'The atmosphere on campus was fierce, but it was lovely to watch two rival universities come together making friends and competing against each other. I’m so proud of our sports teams winning the Varsity trophy for the second year running! I’m looking forward to this year’s Varsity where our sports teams will hopefully win again and have the chance to build on their friendships with Chester Warrington'
