It is an annual challenge put on by the British Inspiration Trust (BRIT), a charity who “supports and improves the mental health and fitness of young adults and students throughout the UK” (https://www.britishinspirationtrust.org.uk/media-pr ).
BRIT collaborates with universities and colleges across the United Kingdom through the Challenge, to raise funds for the charity and get people active!
It's a very inclusive challenge, so there are a variety of ways to get involved, regardless of your ability or skill level!
Wrexham Glyndŵr University and Students’ Union have signed on to the challenge, along with hundreds of other UK universities and colleges! We are encouraging all students to get involved however they can- whether it’s participating in WGSU’s planned activities, an activity of their own, or simply donating.
We encourage donations to be made via our GiveStar page: https://givestar.io/gs/U62AF5C
WGSU, in conjuction with the university, will also be putting on a variety of ways for students and staff to partake!
Activties are centred around the theme "2023", to reflect the current calendar year: The fundraising goal is £2,023, many activities have a goal of 23 miles or 23 hours to complete a personalised objective. See below for some of our plans!
