Last week we created a new hashtag, #GlynDoesLockdown. It’s there to inspire both students and staff to keep themselves occupied during isolation.

Here are some things that you might want to share as you join Glyn on his quest to maintain success!

•    Exercise routines – missing the gym? Or perhaps you just want to try something new. There’s plenty of ways you can exercise at home, and an abudance of home workout apps to guide you on your way.

•    Baking – cakes, cakes, cakes

•    Get out in your back garden – daylight saving time is officially upon us, which means lighter nights and hopefully warmer weather. Vitamin D is essential for keeping your bones, teeth and muscles healthy through its regulation of calcium and phosphate in the body, so it really will do you good soak up the sun! Always remember to wear sun cream, though!

•    Create a playlist – Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, the list is endless. Music is great for influencing the mood, and you might discover a new artist or genre you like that you’ve never listened to before!

•    Pets – whether they’ve got fur or scales, our pets all need some love. They’ll probably love the fact that you’re at home more to give them attention.

•    Put the kettle on – great Welsh cuppa, anyone? Glyn wants to see what colour you have your tea!

•    Knitting – if you’re a patient person, then definitely do give knitting a go. While it’s not for everyone, you could end up with a very lovely scarf; or a makeshift blanket, depending on your success rate.

•    Gaming – an amazing way to stimulate the brain! With so many options and a whole range of platforms. Show Glyn what your setup looks like

•    Play an instrument – whether you’re an amateur or pro, letting yourself loose on an instrument is great for morale! If you’re just starting out, then what a great way to pass some time while learning a new skill. If you already know what you’re doing, then let us hear that sweet, sweet music.

•    Gardening – prep your sanctuary for the summer! Gardening is a great way to express your creativity, and sharing is caring!

•    Home cooking – whether you’re cooking your favourite dish or just experimenting, these are all worthy of the hashtag. Glyn needs some culinary inspiration to get him going.

•    Organise your wardrobe – how many of us have half a wardrobe full of things that we no longer wear, or maybe our wardrobes are just that disorganised that it’s a nightmare to navigate! Have a clear-out, or a tidy up, and you’ll be amazed at how neat everything looks afterwards.

These are just some ideas of things that you could share with us on social media as part of the #GlynDoesLockdown journey. The actual list is endless, so please do share away and don’t forget to use the #GlynDoesLockdown hashtag so we can see your creations!
