The Students’ Union rebrand project began last September and we've been very busy putting the pieces together to ensure that we create something that you love. Students play a crucial role in the creation of the new Students' Union branding and we have really valued your input so far! It's not too late to have your say on the SU Rebrand. Read on to find out more!

 

‘Out of the box’ thinking

 

We created a ‘Box Pop’, a type of ballot box encouraging students to input their opinions on the current Students’ Union brand identity. The ideal time for us to do this was during the Freshers’ fair in September, where over 1000 new and returning students walked through the doors!

 

  

 

Our survey says…

 

Following the collection of feedback from the ‘Box Pop’, it was time to go a step further. An online survey was published last November, asking students a variety of questions about what their expectations were for the new Students’ Union branding. From the survey, we managed to collect some interesting insights about what you think the Students’ Union represents, and what values the new branding should reflect.

  

 

Let’s get moodboarding

 

As soon as we collected sufficient student feedback, it was time for the fun bit. We invited students to the Regent St. School of Art and Design for a visual moodboarding activity. All we needed to enhance this creative activity was some art materials and another important essential… doughnuts, of course! Students were encouraged to respond to some key SU values as highlighted by students: student-led, social, fun, supportive and inclusive. SU President Amy also came along to support on the day!

  

 

One last chance to have creative input…

 

We are giving all Wrexham Uni students the chance to add their own creative ideas to our mood boards. Submit your ideas to us in person or online. Submit your online SU Rebrand ideas here, or alternatively you can send them into us by visiting the Students’ Union building on Plas Coch Campus. The deadline to submit your ideas is 30th April 2024.
