The Sustainability & Fairtrade Society started off the new academic year by organising A Big Lunch for World Peace Day in the library field back late September. This was a huge success and a great way of proving the right environment for students and people in the community to meet! We met some amazing people doing incredible work in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion such as C.L.P.W who will be coming along to some of our upcoming events! Many thanks to Frank Bowman from Free Stall Wrexham who we met at this event who kindly donated chocolate mint plants to be handed to the new students at Freshers Fair!
Next up was the annual Freshers Fair promoting out Sustainability & Fairtrade Society which went amazing! Lots of people were signing up to the society and connection with other organisations such about supporting upcoming events on our Environmental Calendar (wait and see).
The society also provided little shower savers to help save water in the shower, if you interested in pop to Residential and Campus Life office in the Edward Llwyd Building (Library) to pick one up.
The university will also be trailing out flush bags and showers caps around campus to help promote saving water!
The Environmental Calendar will be up by the end of the month with lots of events to take part in for this year so make sure you are following us on Facebook!
