Academic appeals

If you believe your progression or final results have been unfairly affected, you have the right to appeal.

Grounds for Appeal

  • Procedural errors or irregularities in recording, transcribing, or reporting results.
  • Errors in applying Academic Regulations that affected your outcome.
  • Bias or perceived bias.
  • Extenuating circumstances not submitted in time but affecting performance.
  • Issues with viva voce panels for Research degrees.

 

When to submit

After results are published, within 10 working days.

How to submit

Contact suadvice@wrexham.ac.uk for guidance and support completing the appeal form.

Evidence

Professional or independent evidence is required. Advice Centre can advise.

Possible outcomes

  • Further assessment opportunity
  • Resit as first attempt (resit mark uncapped)
  • Withdrawal overturned
  • Appeal rejected due to insufficient evidence
