What is the role?
A student trustee will become members of the Students’ Union Board of Trustees. This is a voluntary role (reasonable expenses paid) and an exciting opportunity to gain experience as a director of a charity.
What is expected within the role?
The Board comprises up to 10 members and meets at least four times a year to carry out its business. Trustees are elected (or selected) via the criteria established within the Union’s Articles of Association to ensure both student leadership and the recruitment of professional expertise.

The Trustee Board is responsible for the overall strategy, management and finances of the Students’ Union. The focus of the Board of Trustees is to ensure that the resources of the Students’ Union are applied effectively for the purposes of, and furtherance of, its aims and objectives.

Full, in-house training is provided for this role and no experience is necessary.
