There are a number of Universities out there with amazing catering facilites. These range from noodle bars, fantastic salad bars, home cooked comfort foods and many more. They have a number of proper coffee outlets where you can grab a descent brew. They have welcoming and comfortable environments. Lets get our campus the catering facilities we deserve.

I tend not to use because I avoid gluten and the choices could be better 🙃
We need a descent salad bar, gluten free options just MORE CHOICE.
Completely agree! And veggie and vegan options are few and far between too!
Agree with all above, a healthy choice would be good too.
I agree with all those above, maybe a jacket potato and salad station would be nice. Also a more areas to eat lunch would be good. Scholars Rest is not restful and seems to be more stressful every time we go and if we do bring lunch in there doesn't seem to be anywhere nice to go (that's not packed out already)
Yes more gluten free and vegan options... also Regent St. would really use a good salad bar... there is only a limited options of anything vegetarian or vegan (and no warm meals - only jacket potatoes)
Somewhere to sit comfortably with a brew and a book is needed!
More gluten free choices please for those like myself with dietary needs and anyone who wants the choice of gluten free plus a salad bar with more than lettuce cucumber and tomato would be lovely, thank you.
I thin the cost of healthier options is disgraceful for a student canteen, I bought soup and a salad and i only got 10 p back from a fiver! Also, the lady at the tills that asks what you have and then takes your box to check you aren't lying, is really starting to rile me!!
A microwave would be useful for those of us wanting to bring our own food in to heat up.
There is a microwave in the Student Lounge - I prefer to bring my own food options in - but it would be nice if there was a kettle we could use in there too. Unless there is and I just haven't found it yet?
I agree, the coffee stands especially as there automatic and not required much work in making the coffee as a barista would in lets say starbucks. I had a cappucino the other day and it didn't have a throthy head on it and burn't my tongue. The Universities coffee stands and catering facilities needs a major upgrade in my opinion and should be run as a business and not a service as we are students who pay high amounts of money each year but without the relevant up to date outlets it looks abit like a college canteen.
The canteen needs to be sorted quickly... i have started to either bring food in or just go to sainsbury's because their prices are ridiculous. I recently visited John Moores in Liverpool, Aigburth, with my mrs and their canteen facilities are so much better! They have couches for relaxing in there, they have up to date coffee machines which spit out perfect cappuccino's, hot chocolates and soup. They have a help your self salad bar and then a separate hot section. Their prices were a lot better than ours as well, the good thing about ours is you can contactless at any price now, but still the prices are a joke. The staff are slow and don't even pay attention... I went in two days ago and stood at the checkout whilst two of them just stood over at the coffee machine talking, in the end I went to the hot food section and asked through the hole if someone could serve me. The food is of decent quality, it could be better with a wider variety rather than just chips, curry, beans and some pie. The buns in the morning for a bacon bap just fall apart in your hands, theres never enough food done for by the time it comes to 10:30-11am for us that finish lectures at those times, the baguettes are a rip off price that i could go sainsbury's and buy the ingredients for cheaper. Their needs to be a self serve salad bar with a lot more options, like Morrisons has where you can have different pastas, noodles, bacon bits and even a variety of fruit sections. Prices need to be clearly marked as well because the staff never know what your paying for and are forever checking the takeaway boxes with their bare hands to make sure your not lying, which is vexing. The canteen it self is decorated out of date, the paint work is peeling off and isn't a warm or welcoming colour, its just dull to sit in there, its more of a grab the food and go somewhere else, the chairs aren't comfy at all and the system of clearing your plates isn't great, there isn't anywhere clearly marking the place to leave them that in the end you just go behind the bins and just put them on a tray thats left there. The speaker system cuts out a lot and needs to be spread more into the top section too. Then the cafe in the K Block building is terrible too, its tiny, theres hardly anything food wise there and unless its changed since i last went in they couldn't take card, once again the prices are too high for what the food is. More vending machines around the campus, and healthier vending machines across the place might be better too... the vending machines in the K Block don't take card, where as the ones in the clock tower do, but then all there is in there is crisps, chocolate and a flapjack or polos. Maybe even some water fountains around to fill bottles up or something, even my high school had them. Thank you
