Enjoying student life doesn’t need to break the bank. We’ll show you some ways to save on costs with the following five money-saving hacks!
Take advantage of student discounts offered by retailers, restaurants, and entertainment venues by presenting your student ID card or signing up for student discount programs like TOTUM. Find out more about joining TOTUM here: https://app.totum.com/register/join
Explore alternatives to buying new textbooks by borrowing from the university library, or purchasing used copies online. Also, consider e-books or digital versions, which are often cheaper than print copies.
Plan meals in advance, make a shopping list, and cook your meals where you live instead of relying on expensive takeaways or dining out. Meal prepping and bulk cooking can save you time and money and the food is often much more nutritious.
To help with the cost of student essentials such as textbooks, stationery, and groceries, pitch in together with your peers. Sharing resources can help reduce individual expenses and create a sense of community.
Look for free or low-cost entertainment options such as attending campus events, joining societies, enjoying outdoor activities, or taking advantage of streaming services that offer student discounts or free trials.
