Introduction:

 

I'm Jack Meredith, and I'm excited to serve as your Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Officer for the upcoming 2023-24 academic year. Currently in my second year of the adult nursing course, I'm not only passionate about healthcare but also a dedicated traveller and an avid photographer. I thrive on exploring new cultures and perspectives. 

 

During my first year at Wrexham University, I was inspired by the diverse and inclusive atmosphere that embraces both our local and international students. As your EDI Officer, I am committed to ensuring that every voice, regardless of its origin, is heard loud and clear. I want everyone to feel empowered to contribute to EDI discussions within our university community. 

 

Wrexham University and the Students' Union have already taken significant steps towards creating an inclusive campus, such as installing gender-neutral toilets in the A corridor and fostering a welcoming LGBT society within the SU, providing a safe space for all. 

 

My goal is to build upon these foundations by collaborating closely with the university and the Students' Union, amplifying student voices, and championing policies that serve everyone's interests.
